The Joint Play Senior Preschool Children with Atypical and Regulatory Development in the Inclusive Group of Kindergarten

The aim of this article was to analyze the joint play of children with atypical and regulatory development in the inclusive group of kindergarten. Modified method of play activities analysis by E.O. Smirnova and I.A. Ryabkova was used [14]. Sample consisted of 92 preschoolers (49 children aged 5,5-7,2 were visiting senior group). 21 children with atypical development and 43 children aged 6,1-7,5 years were attending the preparatory group. 22 children have features of development. All children attend inclusive kindergarten in Moscow. A total of 63 games initiated by children were described and analyzed. The duration of play, playing displays initiative, taking on the role of play, peculiarities of play actions were included in the analysis. The differences of play development levels between children with regulatory and atypical development were found. It was found that levels of joint children’s playing may differ. During one game its level in one child may vary. Hypothesis that playing together is a condition for establishing a zone of proximal development for children was confirmed.

Foreign and Russian Psychophysiological Studies of Musical Abilities of Newborns: a Review

We provide an overview of foreign and Russian psychophysiological research on the problem of musical abilities of newborns. We discuss aspects of formation of the musical ear (pitch, harmonic, timbre, dynamic) and rhythm. As a result, we identified the following auditory abilities of infants: 1. The ability to detect and decay of sound; 2. The ability to automatically detect repetitive sound sequences; 3. The categorization of surrounding sound; and 4. The semantic aspects of musical perception that receive intensive development in the first months of life. The state-of-the-art diagnostic methods, such as optical tomography and magnetoencephalography, allow direct approach to solving the problem of how the musical abilities are formed in early ontogeny.

Ethno-cultural Competence of Teachers in Environments with Multi-ethnic Students

We analyzed the content and direction of professional work of teachers in ethnic and cultural education of children, and the need for ethno-cultural knowledge and skills of teachers in a modern, multicultural educational environment of Moscow and Nalchik. We studied ethno-cultural competence of teachers engaged in teaching activities in educational institutions in Moscow and Nalchik. The hypothesis of our work is that in the ethno-cultural competence of teachers in Moscow and Nalchik, there are qualitative and quantitative differences due to the specifics of the social context, in particular the characteristics of the multicultural environment of educational institutions and the living environment, availability of skills, knowledge and abilities in intercultural educators themselves. Our study involved 174 employees of educational institutions. Of these, 125 were teachers in Moscow and the Moscow region and 49 were teachers in Nalchik. We revealed a lack of knowledge and skills necessary for professional activity and communication with other cultures children and their parents in Moscow teachers.
