Stable Forms of Aggression Among Modern Adolescents: Results of a Longitudinal Research

The article presents the results of a 3-year longitudinal research (from V-th to VII-th grades) of the level of manifestation of main types of aggression and hostility and the level of self-esteem among adolescents. 56 adolescents from a Moscow regular school who were joined into an experimental group participated in the research. Results of adolescents from this group were compared to results of adolescents from the control group which consisted of 26 pupils from another Moscow regular school. Adolescents from the experimental group were divided into three groups: the most aggressive, moderately aggressive and the least aggressive adolescents (according to the readings of aggressiveness index received with the help of the Bass-Darky questionnaire, taking into account the opinion of the teachers working with these adolescents, received as a result of questioning them). Adolescents from the experimental group at the third year of the experiment went through trainings (25 sessions) directed at the skills of recognizing various manifestations of aggression, both from yourself and from other people, as well as of expressing aggression in the socially acceptable forms.
