Educational environment of a higher educational institution must be professionally and personally stimulating

The article presents the historical perspective and a brief description of the current state of problem of the educational environment of a higher education institution. Taking into account the achievements of psychological and educational science, the results of reseatcb of innovative experience and traditions of university practice the article justifies a set of theoretical and applied provisions which constitute the methodological foundations of creating a professionally and personally stimulating environment in a higher educational institution. Basing on a developed methodology the authors identify and analyze the list and the content of requirements, implementation of which enhances the improvement of personal activity of students in their own professional development and self-development. From the standpoint of system-activity approach the structure and single components of professionally and personally stimulating environment in a higher educational institution are described, and also a holistic organizational and pedagogical technology of its gradual formation in a higher educational institution is presented.
